Sunny Spring Wreath Workshop

I had just the best afternoon on Saturday with five lovely ladies creating amazing living spring wreaths. We could not have asked for better weather considering today, as I am writing this, we have had torrential rain and thunder!!

Under the gazebo in the garden I put up tables and each person had a willow wreath ring as the base, a pack of six plants which included pansies, forget-me-nots and bellis daisies, string, moss, birch twigs, pussy willow and misty limonium.

Oh - I forgot! - first things first. We all had a glass of prosecco!! What better way to start a relaxing couple of hours?

After a quick demonstration everyone started to design their own wreath by laying out the plants to decide where they went. They then wrapped the ring with birch twigs, tied on the plants, covered these with moss and then poked in other twigs and dried materials.

Tea and homemade cake followed. The cake was quickly adorned with candles as I hadn't realised it was Corinne's birthday! Luckily I have most things to hand!! And we all sang Happy Birthday.

It was a really lovely, relaxing afternoon and I am always so amazed how truly beautiful and different everyones wreaths turn out, especially as everyone starts with the same basic materials.

Look out on Facebook and the website for further workshop dates in the summer.

If you want to get a group of friends together and have a private workshop please contact me to arrange.
